Description

This Premium Grade, quick-drying and stretchy blood coating has been meticulously formulated for latex masks and props. It comes in two spine-tingling grades: FRESH, Arterial Blood, offering a lifelike fresh appearance with a touch of vibrance, and AGED, Veinous Blood, shrouded in a sinister rusty hue. Both selections guarantee an otherworldly level of realism, providing a permanent, high gloss and flexible blood effect that adheres well to many surfaces. Monster Makers Polymer blood dries smooth and tack free with a slightly viscous flowing property that allows for easier application without being too thin. Polymer Blood is also water proof, UV and scuff resistent.
Properties
Q: Is Monster Makers Polymer Blood skin safe?
A: No. Polymer Blood is not designed for use on skin. It is intended for use on props, costumes, weapons, and set pieces only.
Q: What is Polymer Blood made from?
A: It's a synthetic polymer-based blood formulated for hyper-realistic color and texture, designed to dry with a permanent, semi-gloss finish that mimics the look of real blood.
Q: Can it be used on fabric or foam latex appliances?
A: Yes. Polymer Blood can be used to stain costumes and props, but it will permanently alter fabric color and texture. Always test on a small area first.
Q: How long does it take to dry?
A: Dry time depends on how thick it's applied, but generally it sets within 15 to 30 minutes and cures fully within a few hours.
Q: Will it stay tacky after drying?
A: No. Unlike some theatrical bloods, Polymer Blood dries completely and does not remain sticky.
Q: Can it be thinned or mixed?
A: It is ready to use as-is. Thinning is not recommended, as it may alter the finish or performance. It can be layered for thicker gore effects.
Q: Can it be removed once dry?
A: Polymer Blood is meant to be permanent. On non-porous props, some removal may be possible with strong solvents, but results will vary. It will not wash out of fabric or porous surfaces.
Q: Is it safe to use in the mouth or near eyes?
A: No. Polymer Blood should never be used in or around the mouth, eyes, or on open skin. It is not edible or cosmetic grade.
Q: Is it heat or water resistant?
A: Once fully cured, it is water-resistant and has decent heat stability for display props. However, excessive moisture or heat may affect adhesion over time on certain surfaces.
Q: What's the best way to apply it?
A: It can be dripped, spattered, brushed, or poured depending on the effect desired. Tools can be cleaned with water before the product dries.
