PRODUCT ADVISORY: KEEP FROM FREEZING.

Water Reducer 555 (ADVA Cast 555) is a high efficiency polycarboxylate based superplasticizer ideally suited for use when making Self-Consolidating Concrete (SCC). ADVA Cast 555 has been formulated to impart maximum desired workability without segregation to concrete. ADVA 555 is used widely in the artisan GFRC world as the go-to plasticizer for SCC mixes. This water reducer can achieve a good flow, but includes a VMA in the formulation, which allows for more flow with less chance of segregation. While this is used for mixes that are not intended to fully flow, it is ideal for higher flow mixes. (Formerly BR Water Reducer)

Properties
HOW TO USE / DOSAGEYou must make test batches of 10-20 Lbs (5-10 kg) of concrete to determine ADVA Cast 555's effect on your specific mix design. Some general guidelines follow.
Mixing: ADVA Cast 555 admixture can be added with the initial batch water but delayed addition will generally result in optimum water reduction. Early addition along with the batch water yields improved mixing efficiency, while delayed addition allows for fine-tuning of the mix consistency.
Often early addition in known dosages is used for aggregate-based precast mixes, whereas late additions of very small, incremental quantities is used for GFRC. When adding incrementally, mix the concrete for 2 to 5 minutes before adding more. Adding too much superplasticizer is easy to do, and it can result in segregation.
RecommendedÊDosage Rate: 8 to 20 fl oz per 100 lbs. Cement WeightThis is equivalent to a dosage range of 0.5% to 1.3%. Dosage rates will vary depending on the materials used, mix design, ambient conditions and the requirements of a specific project. Make test batches until you are familiar with ADVA Cast 555's effect on your mix.
The number of doses in each container size, based on an average 50 square foot GFRC project, are:
