VCAS 160 is a pure white pozzolan. Pozzolans are value-added supplementary cementing materials that exhibit pozzolanic activity. Comparable to fumed silica and metakaolin when tested in accordance with ASTM C618 and ASTM C1240. Can replace up to 20% of the dry cement weight in a mix.

Pozzolans are primarily vitreous siliceous materials which react with calcium hydroxide to form calcium silicates thusly improving the quality; other cementitious materials may also be formed depending on the constituents of the pozzolan.
