Description
Silc Pigª Silicone RED Color Pigment can be added to any Smooth-On tin-cure or platinum-cure silicone rubber or silicone rubber accessory such as Psycho Paintª or Skin Titeª.
These pigments can be used to create a variety of silicone color effects for a wide range of applications including special effects, prosthetics and orthopedics, making masks, toys, prototypes and many others. Silc Pigª pigments are concentrated, offer excellent dispersion and consistent color. Silc Pigª pigments are very concentrated and a very small amount of pigment will color a proportionally large amount of silicone. The more you add in proprtion to the volume of liquid rubber, the more dramatic the color effect. Recommended loading range is .001% to 3% of total system weight. Do not overload silicone rubber with Silc Pigª or cure inhibition may occur. If this is your first time adding color to a silicone system, it is recommended that you test the color effect by adding a few drops to a small amount of material and observe the outcome.
Silicone systems that do not originally contain color such as Smooth-OnÕs Dragon Skinª and EcoFlex Series are much easier to color and require less pigment to acheive an effect versus systems containing color. Do not use with Smooth-On urethane products.
