Foredom's Chisel Handpiece is for carving in all types of wood, plastic, plaster and soft carving stone.
It connects to a key tip quick disconnect flexible shaft which can be powered by an M.SR, M.TX, M.LX flex shaft motor or other motor that can power a key tip quick disconnect flexible shaft (a Flexade can also be used!).
It is a reciprocating 'hammer' type handpiece that requires a light pressure to start the hammering chisel action.
It has a stroke length of 1/8 (3.2mm).
It has a rugged textured plastic barrel & tapered aluminum front end.
MUST BE USED IN FORWARD MOTOR DIRECTION ONLY - if you are using it with a motor that can go in reverse.
TIP: We recommend using this handpiece with Series TX and LX or Series SR motors in forward rotation only.For optimum performance use between 1,000 Ð 8,000 RPM.TIP: We also recommend using a dial speed control, in place of a foot pedal, to run steady within the recommended lower end of the speed range. Carvers can set and maintain any desired speed when connected to a dial control. See Kits K.EM-50 and K.EMX-50.
