Description
Silicone 4315 is an easy to use Shore 20A translucent platinum silicone that is mixed 1A:1B by volume (no weighing scale necessary). It features a very low viscosity and vacuum degassing is not required for most applications.
Pot life is 6 minutes and cure time is 30 minutes at room temperature.
Silicone 4315 can be thickened for brush-on mold making using THI-VEX silicone thickener.
Silicone 4315 is ideally suited for fast set molds when time factors are an issue.
Silicone 4315 is suitable for skin contact applications such as body casting. Typical applications include lifecasting, rapid mold making, rapid protoyping, and general resin casting. Silicone 4315 is an excellent choice for casting into an alginate mold. An infinite number of color effects can be achieved by adding Silc Pig silicone pigments or Cast Magic effects powders. Silicone 4315 is heat resistant up to 450F (232C) and is suitable for casting low-temperature melt metal alloys. Silicone 4315 is skin safe and certified by an independent laboratory.
Note: This product will not cure against surfaces containing sulfur, even when sealed.
